DREAM Act to Be Reintroduced to Congress Soon

McClatchy News (McClatchy) reported that Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Dick Durbin (D-IL) plan to re-introduce a version of the DREAM Act in an effort to provide a lifeline to recipients of the DACA program who could lose their status because of a court challenge from Texas and nine other states.  We’re working on it,” Graham said Monday; those familiar with the proposal said the goal is to introduce something similar to the DREAM Act.. There is a new urgency to pass the measure now that DACA is in question, particularly after DHS Secretary John Kelly told members of Congress last week that the program is unlikely to withstand a legal challenge.
